They are available by appointment for nursing procedure, travel advice, smoking cessation, asthma, hypertension, coronary heart disease and family planning advice.
Health Care Assistants
The practice employs health care assistants who carry out blood tests, electrocardiograms, smoking cessation, height and weight measurements and assist the doctors and practice nurses in procedures.
Training
Fully qualified doctors and nurses specialising in general practice are often based here for six or twelve month periods. Their work is carefully supervised by senior colleagues.
Students
At times, a medical student may be with your doctor learning about family medicine, but if you would rather see your doctor alone, please say so.
Health Visitors
Health visitors can see families at home or in the surgery to advise on childcare and family health problems, be they physical, emotional or social. They may be contacted at the practice on 295 4876.
