About Us

The Practice was established in the 1950s by Dr Faith Mason and was originally housed in very small premises at the end of a parade of shops on Dib Lane (and consequently was known as Dib Lane Practice).

Despite many extensions and alterations to the original premises, it became clear that it was impossible to practise 21st century medicine in such cramped conditions, and in November 2003, after lengthy consultations, we moved into our current purpose-built Medical Centre. A change of address meant change of name, and after much deliberation and ballot of all the staff, we became Park Edge Practice.

Our premises are a purpose-built, leased Medical Centre, which was designed by consensus between the practice team, developers and architects. We moved in December 2003 and are pleased with the finished product, which serves our needs superbly. In February 2007, a pharmacy opened on the premises. The Lease runs until 2030 currently.

The Practice occupies the ground floor of the building and has a full range of consulting rooms, treatment suite and administration area. Upstairs includes a common room, conference facilities and kitchen.

Part of upstairs is rented by the NHS estates which include a treatment suite providing physiotherapy, podiatry and primary care mental health therapies. Upstairs also houses South and East Leeds GP Federation Group staff as well as allowing space for teaching medical students and hosting our regular lunchtime meetings.

We envisage expansion of our practice and the provision of increasingly diverse services from the building in the years to come.
