Extended Access Services (Extended Opening Hours)
In order to run evening and weekend GP clinics, the practices in South and East Leeds have joined together to open ‘Hubs’ that make the best use of the limited resources available for these kinds of services. By running clinics from fewer locations we are able to offer more appointments than if each practice opened in the evenings and on weekends.
Hub appointments are available:
Monday to Friday 6.30pm to 8pm
Saturday 8am to 2pm
Sunday 8am to Midday
To book an appointment during the Extended Opening times please contact Reception.
Visits are only for patients who are not physically able to attend the surgery. Please ring before 10.00am when possible.
Tuesday 9.15am - 11.15am
Wednesday 9.15am - 11.45am and 1.15pm - 3.15pm
Our Community Midwife, Denise Young is in attendance for antenatal clinics.
For confirmation of pregnancy, please make an initial appointment with your doctor in surgery time.
We engage in a community-based approach to antenatal care and the Midwife will advise on choices for childbirth and parentcraft classes for prospective parents.
Postnatal examinations are usually carried out on Tuesdays with a GP.
Child Immunisations are given by the practice nurse and appointments will be sent for this. From time to time during the first three years, you will receive an appointment for your child to be examined and his/her development checked by the doctor or health visitor.
Clinical pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals and experts in medicines. The Clinical Pharmacist here at Park Edge can assist you in getting the most out of your medicines. She is available to book appointments with to support you in medicine related queries and review and to assist in providing the best overall healthcare service possible for your needs. You may be asked to book from time to time with the Clinical pharmacist to discuss your medication. This allows the doctors to focus their skills where they are most needed and should improve access to doctors appointments.
You will receive an appointment for a cervical smear when you are due in accordance with the Leeds recall system.
This clinic is held regularly. Patients with diabetes are normally invited to be seen twice yearly for a full check on their health and treatment.
Certain Joint Injections can be carried out in the surgery.
A full range of contraceptive services and advice are available, including fitting of IUDs (coils), Implants and diaphragms (caps) plus injections. Please make a routine appointment with any of the doctors to discuss options. A fitting will require a specific appointment. We also provide a free condom service.
Following a consultation with a doctor, you may be referred to one of a number of organisations offering support.
