Health Care Assistants
The practice employs a health care assistant and health care assistant apprentice who carry out blood tests, blood pressures, electrocardiograms, height and weight measurements and assist the doctors and practice nurses in various procedures. They also conduct the NHS health checks for our patients aged between 40 and 75.
Fully qualified doctors and nurses specialising in general practice are often based here for six or twelve month periods. Their work is carefully supervised by senior colleagues.
At times, a medical student may be with your doctor learning about family medicine, but if you would rather see your doctor alone, please say so.
Health visitors can see families at home or in the surgery to advise on childcare and family health problems, be they physical, emotional or social. They are based at Seacroft Clinic.
