Breastfeeding Celebration Week
1st August-7th August 2024
It's #BreastfeedingCelebrationWeek! This year's theme is encouraging the wider family to support with breastfeeding.
Every breastfeeding journey is unique, but remember you are not alone. Try to stay connected if you feel you need extra support.
Your midwife and health visitor play an important part in supporting breastfeeding; reach out to them if you feel like you need support.
Partners play a vital role in providing support with emotional wellbeing, which can be crucial to continue breastfeeding when things get difficult. If you're supporting your partner to breastfeed, this can provide a great chance to bond with your baby too. For example, preparing your baby for feeding and doing skin to skin. Give it a go!
